An All American (Canyon) Fourth 2019 - American Canyon Napa Valley

An All American (Canyon) Fourth 2019

It’s not the Fourth of July until you see lights dancing in the sky.

If you’re a fan of the rockets’ red glare and bombs bursting in air and celebrating America in all her glory, there is plenty to do in American Canyon on July 4! Join us on Independence Day for an afternoon and evening of food, music, fireworks, and fun for all ages.

Pancake Breakfast | 7 am – 11 am | Boys & Girls Club

It’s a favorite tradition for many in the community to kickstart their Fourth of July celebration into high gear. Come on by and enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast before all the festivities begin! Hosted by Boy Scouts Troop 7062, the cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children, or $20 for family (no limit on the number of people in your family).

Patriotic Parade | 10:30AM | Elliott Drive

The Patriotic 4th of July Parade is an annual tradition that is an integral part of the AmCan community! Our hometown parade features community members, organizations, classic cars, a marching band, kids on their decorated bikes, and so much more. Join us for the 2019 parade on Thursday, July 4, at 10:30 am. This year our theme is Celebrating America’s Heroes. Find your spot along the parade route starting at the corner of Elliott Drive and Kimberly Drive, and ending at Community Park II (20 Benton Way). We look forward to awarding unique and festive entries in the following categories: 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, Best Dance Group, and Best Classic Car.

Festival | 12 pm–9:30 pm | Community Park II (20 Benton Way)

This family-friendly festival includes a flag raising ceremony, children’s games, food vendors, live entertainment, and more! Come out and enjoy our live entertainment stage, kid’s area with bouncers and other activities, food and drink vendors, information booths, and the great lawn (perfect for family picnic/gathering area). The Phillip West Aquatic Center will hold Open Swim from 1:15 pm – 4 pm. The extended hours will give your family plenty of time enjoy a full day of festivities!

Fireworks Hike | 8 pm | Newell Open Space Preserve (7000 Newell Drive)

The American Canyon Community & Parks Foundation will host their 4th Annual Fireworks Hike again this year! Meet at 8 pm at the Newell Open Space Trailhead located on the corner of Newell Drive and Donaldson Way East. Participants will hike about 1/2 mile into a great viewing spot just past the gate and set up our chairs and blankets. Enjoy hot chocolate and snacks while you wait for the sky to darken. From this higher elevation, participants will be able to see fireworks from American Canyon, Vallejo, Crockett, and even Marin! Bring a flashlight, bug spray, warm clothes, chairs or blankets, water, and your camera. While there are plenty of places in the North Bay to view fireworks spectaculars, this is the only event with a fun and easy hike to an incredible overview! While family friendly, children must be supervised at all times. Suggested Donation: $5 per person or $10 per family. For more information, please email info@acparks.org.

Fireworks Spectacular | 9:30 pm | Community Park II

Not up for a hike and waiting until dark? Come on by Community Park II for the best fireworks show around! Arrive early to reserve your spot. Bring blankets or chairs and your coats to stay warm and cozy during the show!

This is the heart of what our community is all about: patriotism, community, and fun. We look forward to celebrating in a traditional parade, fireworks display, and one-day festival!
