“La Strada” is Italian for “the road.” For owners, Martino and Adriano, the road to the Napa Valley has been a delicious and enjoyable journey of hard work and friendship.
The two men first became acquainted while working at restaurants in North Beach, San Francisco’s Italian neighborhood. They kept in touch over the years, often discussing the possibility of opening a restaurant together. They opened a San Pablo restaurant in 1996, and the American Canyon location came six years later.
Though La Strada started out as a dream among friends, it evolved into a family business when Martino and Adriano became brothers-in-law. Both Martino and Adriano remain very involved with the two La Strada locations. Guests will almost always find one of them at the restaurant, checking and rechecking that the food and service meet their high expectations.
